The Intergenerational Mentoring Network is currently (May 2017) active in seven Glasgow schools.
We are commencing new work in Fife and supporting a developing project in Lancaster.
Our project is focused on researching and developing different models of mentoring for our target groups of children and young people. Our most established project supports young people in the later stages of their school careers and aims to support their successful transition into and through higher education. Our more recent and developmental work is looking at ways to engage mentors in supporting literacy development in primary school children.
These programmes are completely free for all mentees and mentors.
In order to provide mentors to the pupils that need our support our project relies on the ongoing generous support of charities, private foundations, corporations, and individuals.
