My Golf has started making a clunking sound from the front whenever I go over speed bumps, and it’s getting more noticeable by the week. I initially thought it might be the bushes or a worn mount, but I’m not handy enough to crawl under and check myself. A colleague mentioned http://www.suspensionrepairdubai.ae/volkswagen-suspension-repair when I asked him where to take it, so I’m going to have a look this evening. But I wanted to ask if anyone’s had a similar clunk on a Golf and what it turned out to be. Was it something simple like a drop link or did it turn into a bigger job? I’d rather go in with some idea of what to expect so I don’t get talked into replacing things I don’t need. Also, is it safe to keep driving on it for a week or two or should I get it seen asap?
